Employees’ Compensation Packages and Profitability of Consumer Goods Firms in Nigeria

The study examined the effect of wages and salaries, bonuses incentives, training costs on return capital employed sampled consumer goods firms in Nigeria. Data were collected from annual financial reports for period, 2013-2022. research adopted an ex-post facto design. systematic Sampling technique was used to select a total four (4) companies study. analytical tool ordinary least square multiple regression. Results test hypotheses indicate that Wages Salaries have negative but significant Return Capital Employed. Bonuses Incentives insignificant Employed however; Cost has positive suggests salaries should not be higher than value addition made by employees labourers, rewards directly related performance as wanted recipient Training staff is very pertinent company’s overall success.
